Cultivate joy, always

Sunny Mullarkey seeks to add joy to her world through the art she creates, and hopes that joy spills over into your world when her creations are brought to life in your home.

Sunny Mullarkey is a fine artist creating in Greenville, South Carolina. Though born in San Diego, CA, she has lived most of her life in the east coast, traveling with her Navy father and her family. After the Mullarkey’s settled down in the sea islands of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina, Sunny attended the Governor's School for the Arts for Visual Art and later attended Anderson College and the University of South Carolina. She now resides in the Upstate with her husband and three children where she continues to explore the beauty of the Carolinas.

Though her mural work has taken her throughout the south, the city of Greenville is home to much of her murals. Sunny has had the opportunity to have work displayed in exhibits and galleries in Georgia, Florida, and both North and South Carolina.

In the summer of 2020, Sunny was selected to paint a mural in Nashville by the The Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission (WSCC), to celebrate the 19th Amendment’s 100 year anniversary. The mural was painted live in Nashville, Tennessee in Centennial Park, then displayed at the Hermitage Hotel, and is now installed at the WorkHouse Arts Center in Lorton,  VA as a permanent feature at the historical site.

Sunny’s body of work includes a variety of subject matter created in the mediums of printmaking, painting, mixed media, and mural painting. Her fine art is created in her studio, located in the arts district of West Greenville.
